View Problems and TP ends

I have recently reinstalled 5.4.2 hoping my problem would disappear. The problem exists after pressing "view" and I select "Document Selector", an error message appears

"unexpected and unrecoverable error. Would like to save a diagnostic file?"

However one responds, the program ends.
