triming trailing spaces

I seen some solution for this issue, but it doesnt appear to work for me.
I went to config>pref>doc class>default and check strip trailing spaces. However when I run my powershell scripts and pipe the data into a text file. I still get the trailing spaces. Can anyone help?

The trailing spaces are trimmed once you have saved the file in the document class you have ticked the option.

So save the file and you should find the trailing spaces gone - works fine for me.
