TextPad Icon in Windows 7 Explorer

Post by KK_Wenz »

Hi,

I am a longtime TextPad user and am just switching to Windows 7. In WinXP I knew how to use the File Associations screen to change the icons that were associated with the various file types that I use TextPad for.

However, that method does not appear to be available in Windows 7.

Could anyone advise how to associate the normal TextPad icon with the common text filetypes (eg. .TXT, .DAT, etc.) ?

Many thanks,

I find it more useful to define extensions with which TP is associated directly IN TP (menu configure/preferences/associated files)
as I remember this also changes the icon in windows explorer
