Hello, I am migrating to a Windows 7 pro-64 workstation from a WinXP-sp3 based system.

I had an 8051 assembler setup to run as a tool in Textpad.

I made all the same configuration setings on the new system but I can't get any output.

The tool output window gives the following message,"Tool completed with exit code 3."

Any suggestions?

We had a similar problem on my colleague's machine.
The only one tool he had configured didnt work.

So I configured a different tool, just to see whether tools do not work at all.

Surprise: when there was a second tool, the first tool worked, and the second tool also worked.

So I deleted the second tool again. And surprise: first tool did not work anymore.

Configured a second tool again. Both tools worked ...
