Disk full while accessing...
I get the Disk full while accessing <filename> error even though I have more than enough disk space and the file is only 1.2 gig in size (I'm certain I've opened much larger with TextPad on another laptop). Any ideas or suggestions why this is happening or how to fix it? Google wasn't much help.

I got all excited when I got an e-mail saying there was a reply to my post. LOL But it turns out you have the same problem. Honestly, the way I've addressed it was by using another product.
When I use the other product, it warns me that the file is too large for a temporary file on Windows but it will let me open it anyway. I've not found any option around it ont Textpad yet

Yep. I got excited when I got the message too! I ended up doing the same thing! I downloaded a trial copy of another product. I got the idea from another string in this forum. It is under Known Problems. Apparently many people have run into this same issue. Thanks for replying!

This been a known problem with textpad for very long now. You can read more about it in this thread:
http://forums.textpad.com/viewtopic.php ... =disk+full
Textpad is a good editor, but have some limitations and this is one of them. I often open large logfiles that might be even 10gb or more. I found that textpad cannot be used for these kind of files. The best text editor i found so far for large files are XXXXX because it's very fast to open large files and also got multithreading so you can still use the editor while working on opening a large file. Also XXXXX got the option to only open parts of the file if you only want to open the last part or something like that. That can save you a lot of time so you don't have to wait for the editor to read the complete file.
