Hello, after 7 days of usage, I got no freeze at all with this config: Closing Textpad is also speeder.
But opening files from a Samba share is still slow (only for Textpad). It's nearly 4 seconds for a 4K file, Notepad and Notepad++ below 1 sec, Visual Studio code 2 sec.

When you timed file opening, was the file opened in an already running instance of TextPad, or in a new instance? Also, was it opened by file type association with File Explorer, or internally with the Open File dialog box?

Only one instance is running, I can close the file, re-open it again and again with ~the same~ timing.

Never used it, I learned the existence by looking at Textpad release note.

I'm using version 9.3.1 and still no full correction for this extremely annoying issue.
I disabled again the file monitoring for external changes, so better, but well I need that feature.
Could we expect a correction soon, please?
