The Problem:
==========
When associating TextPad as the Edit command for a file extension, such as .BAT, the wrong icon was used
This particular problem was supposed to have been addressed in the Release of Textpad 4.4 ( I found the above reference to the wrong icon being associated in the 4.4 Release Notes on the Textpad.com website) but in my case anyway, it doesn't seem to work.
This is what I did. I installed Textpad 4.5 and then tried to associate all .TXT files that were previously associated to Notepad, to Textpad. Instead of getting the Textpad icon replacing the Notepad icon, I got the lovely default windows icon instead!
So, what am I doing wrong? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Textpad 4.5 .. no luck. I am running Windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP 2 on a Pentium III Dell Latitude laptop. This should be a simple process but it's driving me nuts!
Any help/suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Did you associate in Textpad or in Explorer?
