Background images in the editor?

I know it sounds redecialous but i am the guy ho cares about themes and the way stuff looks on my desktop. That's why I wonder if it' s possible to write on a picture like bmp or jpeg like you can add them to your folders in windows 2000 and 98. All i can di is change the background color and the text. I know that it sounds crazy but still i would like to know what possibilities U can offer. Is it possible to download color scemes instead of making them yourself? I usally program in C++ and java so color scemes for these languages would be great
