I love this product and this board. There are so many talented people out there and it seems a shame that they only have a chance to shine when asked a question (thus the search engine). Unfortunately due to the fact that Textpad is such a diverse and multi-functional product it is almost impossible to answer every potential question in the help section or this forum. And believe me when I say that the search engine very seldom has answers to my potential questions.
If there was such a forum, I am sure that those with the knowledge would be more than happy to spend a few minutes (out of boredom if nothing else) to right down some things that would benefit others. There are so many questions I still have regarding this program, but like most others would never ask.
A forum of this proposed nature would also serve to aid in the compilation of a new help file for your program. Hell, I would even host the page and you could link it to
one of my sites if needed (I doubt that it is).
For instance, here are two tidbits of information that may seem trivial to most of you but I am sure will be a blessing to others.
1) You can open multiple documents in one document by right clicking on the document and clicking insert files. Just highlight the files that you want to open when the open file box comes up. Textpad merges them into the new document. That's a big time saver that I just learned and have been using this product for two years.
2. You can show multiple files in the edit window simply by highlighting the files that you would like to view simultaneously, right clicking and selecting tile horizontally or vertically.
3. You can have all of your open documents have tabs at the bottom of the page by
Now, I know that helped some people out there and they never would have thought to ask. PLEASE let's have a tips and tricks forum.
