I would like to use TextPad when I do a \"view source\" in Opera. However, since I have TextPad set to \"Allow multiple instances to run\" a new instance of TextPad is spawned with every view (I run multiple instances on multiple virtual desktops). I would like to use an existing instance. I have seen the
\"-m Start another instance, regardless of the setting for 'Allow multiple instances'.\"
in help. Is there a parameter for not starting another instance? Is there another way to accomplish this?

Think the other way around. Turn off the option to allow multiple instances and then add the -m parameter to your desktop shortcut for starting TextPad. Then, when you use the context menue to send a file to TextPad or view source in Opera, the file will be loaded in the instance that was last active, that is, the instance that is higher in Windows' application stack.
