I have not been able to find a way to switch editing mode to hex when the document is already open in text mode. This would be very handy to me in many situations. Especially since the only way (that I can see) to open a document with a text association (e.g. *.txt) in hex mode is to open it via the File;Open menu. It would be nice to be able to double-click a text file in Explorer to open it in TextPad and then switch to hex mode.
Any suggestions? Is this currently possible?
Thanks,
Mark

Even if it were possible to switch (I don't know any way) into hex mode, you would still not be able to edit as the hex mode is hex view mode only.

On the help menu, there should be a command, something like "enter licence code" (after entering it, it will read: "update licence...")

I also often want to go back and forth between text/hex mode, at least be able to *see* a file in hex mode: Double click and flip to hex. All the time, actually, when I'm clicking on the random unknown file to see what it is.
So I guess there are 2 requests then:
1. add ability to swap text/hex mode. You could even force the "Save?" dialog to come up if the text mode file has been edited, if #2 below isn't gonna happen.
2. add hex editing capability. even just ultra-minimal regedit-style hex editing would be a great utility for occasional light use. Nothing fancy-schmancy to distract TextPad from its strengths, just enough to flip a bit or two. Default to overwrite mode, allow hex entry in the left column, basic ascii in right, nothing else.
