Why does TextPad launch a new window whenever new file is se
If you have Microsoft Word open and click on a *.doc file in Windows Explorer, the file will be available to view or cascade within the currently active window for Word. Older versions of Textpad used to act the same. Now, whenever I have Textpad open, and jump over to Windows Explorer to open another file, An entirely new window for Textpad opens. I don't want to have to open these files from within Textpad. I often want to do comparisons between different text files from different folders on my computer, and find it very convenient to simply click on that file and have the opportunity to show files with vertical or horizontal tiles to compare data input or whatever. How can I get Textpad to act like other Microsoft Windows applications and NOT open a new Textpad window everytime I click on another file that Textpad is set up to open (I have a number of different extensions set up to be opened in Textpad)>
