Line numbering

Is there a sneaky way to turn on line numbering for specific types of files, ideally syntax classes.

I would ideally like to be able to turn on line numbering for one type of file by default while output files and general text files fo not show them.

A great sneaky way would be to specify the name of a macro to be executed upon opening any document of a given class. However, TextPad currently does not have this ability. For the entire history of this forum Helios has maintained a complete silence on the subject of enhancements pertaining to macros. So don't expect any, and enjoy the tool as it is.

Of course, I welcome being corrected -- as always!

I would love to see the macros become VBA-enabled. No large object model for the application, simply configuration and a collection of documents.

I agree, macro improvement will never see an upgrade (but it's the weakest link in TextPad).
