Is there a way to set TextPad to not default CR and NL as the end of segment characters? I would like just a CR as the end of Segment. I am working with HL7 files that have several common segments (MSH, PID, PV1 etc) :
MSH|^~\&|LAB||HIS||20011016095200||ORU^R01|993525870359|P|2.1|
PID|||Q000000663^||INTEGRATED^TWO||19530516|F|^^|||||||||Q000012670||
And it seems TextPad is inserting CR/NL at the end of each. I copy these files in from raw output.

If "segment" means "line", then just save your file with file format "Mac" instead of "PC" (this is the 2nd dropdown listbox in the Save As dialog). TextPad automatically recognizes the format when loading files.
