Still, for the money, Textpad is by far the best general text editor/programmer IDE on the market in its price range.

I'm ordering my license today.

Add this to the list --
- incremental search : Visual C++ IDE, [X]Emacs

(I sorely miss that feature)

A search'n'replace that used Perl syntax would be most wonderful for me. Quicker to write, much more powerful...

I would like to see the addition of a 'project' pane to the left (similar to document selector) but a place where you can define a project and associated files. Would make access much easier

My Project
+ Database Scripts
- User Forms
User Login userlog.php
Resume Search resume.php
+ Something Else

I dont need a full IDE but being able to bundle a 'project' with sub projects and associated files would be a very nice hit.

1. Incremental search mode

2. Versions for Linux and BeOS (some chance!) cause I want to use it everywhere.

I wouldn't count on any suggestion being considered as "submitted" unless you submit it to feedback@textpad.com.

A quote from http://www.textpad.com/forum/read.php?f=1&i=304&t=281 (dated Nov 8, 2000):

"If you wish to send in enhancement suggestions please use the form at:

http://www.textpad.com/support/index.html

"This forum is not for enhancement suggestions. If you use the form on our support page then your suggestions will be considered for future versions of TextPad."

So discussing your enhancements here may have no effect.

Good luck,

Roy
