Temporary Macros

Post by Spudnic »

I'd really like to have option of saving a Macro to a dedicated macro clipboard (so it doesn't get overwritten by regular cuts or copies) for temporary use.

A bunch of the macros I create are one or two time use things. The save macro window should have 2 options, save to a file (like the current window) and save to clipboard. Once the session is over or I decide to overwrite it with another temporary macro, it should be wiped out for good.

An even cooler way of approaching it would have a session macro stack, but I'd be perfectly happy with just one.

Right now when I create a temporary macro I have to change the filename to t.TPM, then set the display name to t, then save it. The next time I create one I just overwrite the existing t.TPM. This is to keep from having hundreds of useless macros out there, but a temporary macro would be so much faster.

Any comments or suggestions?
