I've noticed something strange about the open and save dialog boxes in Textpad 4.1.1 running on Windows 2000 SP1. The "File format:" and "Encoding:" dropdowns don't display their options when you click on them. More specifically, only a tiny sliver of a rectangle is drawn underneath the dropdown, within which I presume the options would be displayed if the rectangle was drawn out fully. To see examples of what I'm talking about go to

The workaround is to click one of the offending dropdowns once, then use your up and down arrow keys to browse through the different available options.
Does anyone have any insight into this problem? Anyone else out there run into the same thing? Just wondering.
Thanks in advance,
Mike Casaday

Re: Save and Open dialog box bugs under Windows 2000
I just checked, and I get completely normal, expected behavior from each of the dropdowns in both Save and Save as dialogs and having clicked to lists open in different orders. I did not exit TextPad between trials.
I also am running Win2k SP-1.
Could this be a Registry issue? I'm no expert, just sheer supposition.
fwiw,
Roy
