I just reinstalled textpad after re-installing windows. I am no longer able to receive the output of programs or commands in the command results window. When I run the javac tool installed by the tool it works, when I put my own there it doesn't.
I've never seen behavior like this before. I've re-installed about 4 times with no luck, and I've tried version 4.4.0 and 4.4.1 with no luck.
Any suggestions?

Re: Textpad not capturing command output on win98
I'm experiencing the same problem in both Win95 and Win98. Was running 4.2.2 and it was working for awhile, then stopped. Tried 4.4.1 and it does the same thing. Running tool in "DOS" box appears to work fine.
Re: Textpad not capturing command output on win98
I believe I have an older version on another machine. I will try it tonight.
I haven't done much win9X development for a while, been working on NT exclusively, hence I might have missed the version in which stopped working. Unless there is some registry setting I missed (I went through and removed all Textpad references, then reinstalled, still didn't work.).
I will try to backtrack as much as possible, though I'm not too optimistic at this point since I've put about 4 hours into this.

Re: Textpad not capturing command output on win98
From Textpad help:
Why is the diskette drive accessed when I run a tool from the Tools menu?
This happens when "Capture output" is checked for the tool, and you are running an active virus checker. Another symptom is that no output is captured.
To work around this, either disable the virus checker or check "Suppress output until completed" on the property page for the tool.
Could this be the problem?
