Using TextPad 4.4.1, downloaded today:
I have noticed that when "word wrap" is enabled, continuation lines begin at the left margin (the first column of the edit window), **unless the first characters of the original line are spaces or tabs, in which case the continuation lines are indented to align with the first non-blank characters.**
I want to disable the exception flagged by ** above, so that the
continuation lines always begin at the left margin, regardless of the first characters in the original line. How?
If it is not possible, I would recommend adding, in future versions, a new checkbox under Preferences/View called "Indent wrapped lines." Or alternately this could be by document class, under Word Wrapped Text.

Re: Indentation of word-wrapped lines
In Preferences/Document Classes, in the general section for each class there is a check box for "Maintain Indentation". Uncheck it and you won't have the problem.
Re: Indentation of word-wrapped lines
Thanks, Randall. Indeed your suggestion fixes my problem.
However, it seems that the same switch also turns off the
alignment of the cursor to indent lines with a hard return.
Ideally I'd like to control these separately. Maybe in a
future version.

Re: Indentation of word-wrapped lines
You're welcome. And tho' I haven't felt a pressing need for maintaining word wrap indentation differently from hard return indentation, I admit I can see a use for it and *would* use it if available (as a check beck in the Wordwrap section perhaps). Another hopefully simple feature for the next version
