Why does my old syntax file not work with 4.4?

I have a custom syntax file I used with Textpad 4.2.2. When I upgraded to 4.4, most of the syntax highlighting quit working. So far I have not been able to work around it.

Download version 4.4.1a and see what happens

I just did exactly that (installed over 4.2, luckily copied off to a safe location so now restored) and it made no difference. I re-load 4.2 and my syntax hioghlighting is restored.

Note that this is for a customised VBScript.SYN, to which we have added keyword sections to cater for a custom control we use.

Please note again, the old file works flawlessly with 4.2
