I am using Textpad 4.0 32-bit. I'm having a couple problems with creating and running macros.
1. I am unable to record a macro that includes other macros and have the second macros multiplay.
2. When Textpad crashes the macro shortcut keys I've defined get redefined by the system. Is this a bug and can it be fixed?

If TextPad crashes, all configuration settings that you have set since starting the application (including shortcut keys for macros), are obliterated. This is true, even if you have hit [APPLY] or [OK] in the Preferences dialog box.
The only way to ensure that configuration settings *truly* stick, is to completely exit and then restart the TextPad application. This is arguably a bug, or at least a misleading/misdocumented feature of the user interface.
When you click [APPLY], it should *apply* those settings, right? The fact that TextPad crashes should not override that.
Anyway, since there is a clear workaround (restart the TextPad application), it's not the most critical problem...
