Hello,
After reinstalling my system, I have strange messages about updated files. I am using W2k professional, together with Textpad 4.3.2 and Novell Client 4.80.20000717. When opening a file on the network, the message appears directly (Another application has updated file P:\CBE\BOOT.INI. Reload it?). Every now and then it appears again. It seems not to happen with Textpad 4.2.2, and as far as I know also not when the older Novell Client 4.70 was installed.
Has anyone a solution for this problem?
Kind regards,
Cornelis van Bemmel

RE: Another application has updated file
Hello Cornelis,
We have established that this problem arises due to differences in the status information of the cached copy of files that Windows maintains on your PC, compared with what's actually on the server. There will be two new options in the next maintenance release, to cope with the different aspects of this problem in different networks. It is scheduled for release later this week.

Gee what a coincidence, I just wanted to report the same problem.
It's pretty annoying and made me lose data even when answering "yes" to the "do you want to reload"-dialog. This happens on an NT network.
