I just downloaded the shareware version of TextPad.
If I click on the "Help" menu item and drag to "Help Topics," nothing comes up.
There is no help file available on-line, either.
I surrender.

PS--I deliberately did not install any dictionaries. Should that matter?

The most likely reason is that your system does not have the HTML Help engine installed. Please click the Download button, at the top of this page, and see the section entitled "Installation Instructions". If that doesn't help, please click the Support button and submit a problem report.

Thanks. Your solution worked (downloading txpwinhelp.exe).
I chose not to pursue the help engine included in Internet Explorer. The first time I tried to run IE on my Win95 machine it crashed my system and I had to reformat my hard drive (after I paid $250 to recover my data). I've given it a wide berth ever since.
