I have been using TextPad for many years and i'ts like my second brain - but I'm not very computer literate.
It has always been a problem that after a restart the files that were open did not automatically reopen.
Recently, all of a sudden, they all re-opened after restart! This was a true hallelujah moment!!!
BUT - it only did that for a few restarts of my computer and then stopped again inexplicably. So, back to the drudge of re-opening everything manually.
Could anyone help me and explain what happened and how I can restore this wonderful possibility??
(I have version 8.8.1)
automatically re-opening documents after restart? Come and gone!

Re: automatically re-opening documents after restart? Come and gone!
Have you checked the option to automatically save every few minutes on Configure/Preferences/Backup?
Re: automatically re-opening documents after restart? Come and gone!
Yes, but that isn't related to the issue. One still has to laboriously and manually reopen all documents that were open before restart.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: automatically re-opening documents after restart? Come and gone!
TextPad registers its requirement to be restarted after an operating system update, so I don't know why that's not working for you. If you save your open documents in a workspace, at least you'd only have to reopen that.

Is there really no-one who can help? I really need the automatic re-opening after restart to come back, it was so wonderful!
Now it doesn't even reload a saved workspace!

If you're still on version 8.8.1 try upgrading to the latest release, 8.23.5.
