Long time Textpad user.
At some point in the past, I managed to get my search window showing up in the same area as the document tabs. Having now replaced the 17 yo desktop, I can no longer figure out how to do that.
Any hints or how tos will be most appreciated.

It's hard to explain the interactive way to do it, without a video, but the simplest is to exit from TextPad and then delete this file for version 9:
or this one for version 8:
Everything will be in its default position when you start TextPad again.
Code: Select all
%APPDATA%\Helios\TextPad\9\GUIConfig.xml
Code: Select all
%APPDATA%\Helios\TextPad\8\GUIState.xml

Re: Search Window and other Tool Output locations
Apparently the default is to have it in a separate window? I removed GUIConfig.xml from %appdata%\Roaming\Helios\Textpad\8
And when I start it again, I get the attached screen.
