(Note however that this new option has no entry in the help file.)
But with that new option set, TextPad misbehaves when double-clicking files from Windows Explorer.
- Suppose for example that I click on file C:\Temp\READ ME.txt.
- TextPad starts a new instance -- good
- BUT it does this by creating a new file called "READ" and then asking if I want to create "C:\Temp\ME.txt" ! -- bad
EG: - It's even worse if there are more non letter characters in the filename or path.
With the "Force File Explorer to start new instances" option unchecked, the correct file opens with no erroneous popups. But then the file clutters one of my existing TextPad instances, which is quite annoying.
