Don't judge but we still us 4.7.3 and systems for support of DOS ASCII characters not supported in newer versions in various areas of the UI.
Anyways, we have a client with Windows 11. Everything was working fine until a recent Windows update. Now they can't apply the license through the interface. When they apply it, it works for that session, but when they close and open Textpad, the license needs to be reinstalled.
Any ideas? I can't see anything under for Helios, and the license:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node
- Mark
Windows 11 and 4.7.3

TextPad 4.7.3 is well out of support, so I can't help you with that. Versions 8 & 9 can edit DOS files. You just need to choose that encoding when opening them, or configure a document class with DOS as the default encoding. Check for yourself by downloading from https://www.textpad.com/download.

Unless something has been fixed, after this version, you could not display the DOS characters in the clip library window. And the Find dialog.
