Disappearing macros

I created a macro. It was present on the dropdown from the main menu and it was working fine.

The next day I rebooted my laptop and the macro had disappeared from the dropdown menu.

This has happened twice.

Please can anyone help?

Have you ever actually closed TextPad before rebooting? Which Windows version and which TextPad version do you use?

Using v 9.0.1 & w 11 macros seem to be saved properly. That is: the current macro is saved automatically with its workspace (not with a file) and can be used in later sessions. This is separate to saved and named macros using the menu.

Macro files are saved in %APPDATA%\Helios\TextPad\9. Also in that folder is a file called ConfigState.xml which records the macros to display on the Macros menu. It is overwritten when TextPad exits, so if you have multiple instances running, the last one to exit has its state preserved.
