Cannot minimise child windows

Post by terrypin »

Maybe I'm mistaken, but shouldn't I be able to do so? I have multiple text files open and each of them displays the Minimise icon, but it has no effect.

I'm sure not once in your lifetime did you ever minimize one of TextPad's child windows. Because that button is (and has been) disabled.

From a technological point a developer can only choose between displaying all 3 buttons (and disabling the one he doesn't really want), or only displaying the "close" button (then the "maximize"/"restore" button would be missing, too). If you look close enough at your "minimize" button you'll notice a gray surrounding frame instead of a full black one - there's your indicator that this button is unclickable.

Yes, you are mistaken: you should not be able to click it.

Please remember that you can edit posts here - no need to make two separate ones, especially since you know these forums for years already.
