Invalid Workspace Archive

Hello,

I seem to be in a train wreck here. Frustrated after the upgrade to 8.5 debug.log issue, I uninstalled 8.5 and re-installed 8.42 and now half my desktop shortcuts are giving me "Invalid Workspace Archive".

What does this mean other than that the workspace is bricked?

EDIT: Well not entirely bricked. I am able to make the desktop shortcuts work again by reconstructing them within the "invalid" workspace.

So not a major issue but shaking my confidence.

This should serve as a bump for the debug.log bug. This must be corrected as the alternative is to check every time I upload files to the web server.

EDIT 2: New hypothesis for the debug.log problem: Something was messed up in the workspaces when I upgraded to 8.5. (The workspaces that have the "Invalid" measure are the ones where this problem occurs.
I will now do my duty and uninstall 8.42 again and again install 8.5 and see if the problem continues.

EDIT 3: At this point (uninstalled 8.42, re-installed 8.5) I have done most of the actions which produced the debug.logs. My theory now is that the crash I experienced previous to the upgrade also corrupted the workspaces that I had open. That would clear 8.5, but it does not explain the fact that Kelly also experienced this problem.
