404s

Post by Mike Olds »

I am receiving 404s when I use the buttons at the top of the page from some, but not all pages. This page (where one composes messages) for one.
Thank you, and

I guess by "buttons" and "here" he means the first links in the header of this website, not any product. Like "Home" (along with a broken picture), "News", "Products" and so on. Looks like all the URIs are relative and now link to i.e. https://forums.textpad.com/products/index.html which is, of course, nonsense - it should be https://textpad.com/products/index.html

Maybe you use an old url?

Forum location is https://textpad.com/forums/

Without forums subdomain.

And all links are working ...

Hello,

I must be describing this problem incorrectly. I am still getting 404s.

I am talking about the buttons at the top of the Forum pages: Home News Products Download etc.

How could I be using a wrong url? I'm clicking the button from within the Forum.
Thank you, and

Well, both work, and that's the problem. Why can't https://forums.textpad.com/ not redirect to https://textpad.com/forums/ in the first place? Go try it yourself - there is no indication anywhere you're "wrong", only indirectly thru all the wrong relative URIs.

Apologies for the problems. The textpad.com web pages have been rewritten in PHP and we were suffering from birthing pains. It should all be OK now.
