When selecting Print Preview, there are no page numbers showing on the bottom status bar.
Only by selecting either previous, next or moving the scroll bars, does the page number show up.
Would it not be possible to have the page number show up, as soon as the Page Preview is open?
Regards Tim

Print preview page numbering

Re: Print preview page numbering
Using 8.1.1x64 on Win7x64 I cannot confirm: the first panel of the statusbar (leftmost one) initially has the text "Page 1" when I open the print preview.

Hi,
thank you for the reply, much appreciated.
Single page documents appear to be less problematic, sometimes the page number shows, sometimes it doesn't.
More than one page, for me, consistently refuses to show page number/s when the first opened in print preview.
See this short video, which illustrates what happens on a regular basis.

I am using 8.1.2x64 on Win 10x64

Your video link doesn't work?
However, I can confirm that with 8.1.2 (64bit) I also don't see the page number in the status bar when opening 'Print Preview'.
What does work is using '&p' as a footer in the 'Page Setup...'. That will show the page number in the print preview. It will, of course, also print them, when you decide to print the document, which might not be what you want.
Personally I think it would also be interesting to see the total number of pages in the status bar.

Thank you for checking.
Something else I've noticed, is that, when changing between a page or pages, "For Help, press F1" displays.

Again, this is in the Print Preview status bar.
