Modest request: Word Count on Status Bar

I'm probably unusual in that I rarely use TextPad for coding, but intensively for writing. I've been using it since Windows 3.1, around twenty years, and love the lean performance. The regular expression searching is surprisingly useful. I've produced at least three thousand published articles on it.

As a professional writer, though, word count is my bread and butter. It's easy enough to bring up, of course (Alt-Enter) but it would be lovely to have it available at a glance on the Status bar.

A possibility perchance?

Just brought in a new writer to the office and he was asking for this as well. I had not thought about it (after over 20 years using this) but it would be helpful and save me using 2 key strokes over and over again when I need a piece to fill a certain amount of space.

HOW about it ... right up there with a decent spell checker.

+1 To this feature request. Sometimes, for example when giving feedback on websites, the character and/or word count available is very limited, and it would be very useful to be able to see BOTH as you type.
