Message out of WE: m_mapDst too small

Post by kengrubb »

It's a 3 GB file, and while I'm not intentionally trying to stress test the outer limits of Helios' product designs, I suspect I may be bumping up against design limits, special relativity, or some such thing.

Strange now that I'm no longer working as a Mainframe Cobologist, and have evolved into a Veebeeographer and Sequel Servant, I seem to be dealing with even LARGER data files than before.

Trying to do a RE replace.

My downward--or upward, depending upon your viewpoint--spiral into larger and larger files continues. Seems logical that if a 3 GB file breaks WE, then a 5 GB file certainly will. It did, but perhaps this unknown, unasked question simply needed to be asked.

This turned out to be a problem with any file which contained an exact multiple of 4096 bytes. It is fixed in release 2.2.
