Opening the TP shell without documents

Is it possible to open TP and not have it display a blank document, only the shell. The text documents I constantly use, are assigned to the toolbar buttons for quick selection.
TextPad 8.16.0 64bit in English and TextPad 9.1.0 64bit in French, on two separate Windows installations

In Configure | Preferences | General
clear Start with a new document.
