Make sure dialogs are on-screen

Post by wvd_vegt »

Hi

When running TextPad on a laptop with various sized monitors attached to it (or in w multi-monitor setup), I have often the issue that the search (and other dialogs) are off-screen or nearly off-screen (only a single pixel left of a dialogs border).

Finding them often means re-starting TextPad and re-opening all files.

No need to restart Textpad.

if, after opening a dialog, the dialog is invisible, press Alt-Space.
A Windows menu appears at one of the screen edges.
Select "Move".
Then press one of the cursor arrow keys.
The dialog should be attached to the mousepointer.
Move mouse to where you want to have the dialog.
Click left mouse button.
