Crtl-f clears Regular expression check box in Find.

Post by robbiep »

If I press Crtl-f with any regex characters highlighted it clears the Regular expression check box in Find. This didn't happen in previous versions.

We can't reproduce this behaviour. Can someone else please give it a try and report back. Thanks.

We've tried on 5 different PC's and all have the same issue.
Windows XP Textpad 7.2.0(32-Bit)
Windows XP Textpad 7.3.0(32-Bit)
Windows 7 Textpad 7.6.0(64-Bit)
Windows 7 Textpad 7.6.1(64-Bit)
Windows 7 Textpad 8.0.1(64-Bit)

Just open Textpad and open Find and make sure Regular expression
check box in Find is checked.
Close find.
Highlight R[0-9]+ and do Ctrl-f.
Open Find and see if Regular expression check box is still checked.

You can use this.

R[0-9]+
R10
R11
R12
R13

I have a windows 10 PC running Textpad 4.7.2 and it runs fine.

Hi

I have the same problem.

It works on fine 6.1.3, but not on 7 or 8.
