I finally got around today to change the background colour of text found with the Search tool. (Indistinct grey to maroon). But it seems that TextPad (4.7.3 : 32-bit) only shows the colour when you close the Find dialog. So not of any practical value in most cases?
I was searching as I usually do for repeated occurrences. (In this case of a single character.) But I continued to see the successive matches with the original default grey background. Until by accident I closed the Find dialog and saw the maroon for that last result.
Is that also the case with less ancient versions please?

Hi Terry, you can change the background colour in question by following the instructions in this thread. The colours for Selected text (no focus) are used when the Find dialog is still open.
Thanks, that fixed it!ak47wong wrote:Hi Terry, you can change the background colour in question by following the instructions in this thread. The colours for Selected text (no focus) are used when the Find dialog is still open.
