Mouse wheel scroll for the list of open files

I often have many files open, more that can fit on the screen under the down facing arrow on the right side next to the x to close the file. Can this list of open files be made to scroll with the mouse wheel? This would greatly speed up the time to search through the file list when it span more than one page.

It would also be great if the current active file was highlighted in the list of all open files. It would be great to see this feature and the option to scroll the list of open files with the mouse wheel.
