Preferences->General: items grayed out/disabled

The "Put shortcuts to Textpad on" the Preferences | General dialog are grayed-out and I can't think why.

Any ideas anyone?

I have observed this happens when using it in Portable mode.

I installed it from setup.exe so I don't think it's installed in portable mode.

I managed to resolve the issue by installing into c:\Program Files\Textpad 6\
I'd previously installed into c:\Program Files\Textpad 5\ but I renamed the dir to TextPad 6 before re-installing
