TextPad 6.1.3 - Problem with Tool Parameter spacing

In TextPad 6, I'm using some custom tools that require each argument in the Parameters section to be separated by 2 spaces. When I separate the arguments with 2 spaces, save, and exit - the 2 spaces are truncated into 1 space.

I've tried adding in the extra space to separate the arguments in many different ways, but each time I close TextPad, the double spaces are replaced by 1 space when I reopen the program, so my tools aren't working.
Is there something I am missing or is this a bug?
I know this isn't an issue in TextPad 5 because it was working fine right before I upgraded. Now that I've upgraded to 6, I'm having this problem with the Parameters.
Do I have to downgrade back to 5 to keep this functionality?
