Turn Off Smooth Scrolling?

Is there a way to turn off smooth scrolling in Textpad? It can be a real pain when you're working in certain situations, like in my case, on a relatively slow remote desktop connection with multiple wide monitors and a mouse with a free-wheeling scroll wheel. One flick of the mouse wheel when in Textpad, and I get to spend the next 30 seconds watching the screen crawl up or down.

I am currently still using Textpad V4.1.05 because it suits me just fine. If this version doesn't let me control smooth scrolling, do any newer versions? I'm using Windows 7.
