TextPad has stopped working

I installed 6.1.3 over 5.* on Win 7 64-bit. Clicking on anything in Document Classes and on some other Preferences settings causes TextPad to stop with the subject's message. Clicking on the Debug button in the error popup does not start Visual Studio as it should normally do. Attempts to repair installation did not help. It seems that no one else reported this problem.
