Unable to Register License on Windows 8

I uninstalled TextPad 6 from my Windows 7 desktop before getting a new computer with Windows 8. I installed TextPad 6 and try to paste the license code into the "Register TextPad" form, but it keeps saying "These license details are not correct. Please check your input, or contact sales@textpad.com for a valid license." Is my license no longer valid if I move it from Windows 7 to Windows 8? I even ran TextPad using right-click and "Run as Administrator".
