Deactivating write protection does not work as expected

Hello,

deactivating write protection does not work as expected in Textpad 6.1.
After opening a protected file and deactivating write protection I am able to edit the file but I cannot save it since the write protection still exists for the file system.

This is not the expected behavior and a big problem if e.g. all files are by default write protected by a a version control system.
I remember this feature worked fine with old versions of Textpad!
