Insert ÂÃÄÀà áâãäAa eg. with Ctrl-F3 and try to search case insensitive any one of these chars. "A" or "a" will find both, but any of "" or "ä" will find only one where it should find two. 'Works' for all Ansi / ISO-8859-1 upper/lower pairs above 127 or Ascii. W/ or w/out regexp, but post "accented characters in class expression fail" seems to apply also.
Encodings don't matter, "TP uses DBCS internally". Switched faithfully back to 5.4.2 and Search works like expected. When in doubt eg binary view displays strange Utf-8 Bom, PsPad gives a second chance.
This with TP 6.1 and 6.1.3 on Xp Pro, all German. Found aftwards En/De Lexicon was still installed for 4.7, however TP 6.1 install didn't complain.
Overall user experience is better with 5.4.2, appearing more mature. Please help it stay the reliable friend of the day.
