License registry file doesn't do anything in TP6.1

Post by pointyhat »

I've just rebuilt my PC and much to my delight during downloading all the software, I've just discovered TP6.1 came out.

Unfortunately, I managed to lose the license file that I was sent back in around 2001 but I have a registry file which installs the license.

Unfortunately, this appears not to work as of TP6.1. Installing it and starting textpad results in the old "thank you for taking the time to evaluate textpad" dialog box.

It worked fine with TP5 before.

Any ideas on how to sort this out?

You should use this form to retrieve your licence key: http://www.textpad.com/support/lostlicense.html

I would do but I bought it about 10-12 years ago and I have no idea what my email address was then!

Then email your details to admin@textpad.com as explained on the form.
