File Menus Don't Display in List View under Windows 7?

I recently upgraded from an XP computer to a Windows 7 computer. I'm still using TextPad 4.1.05. I find that when I do a File -> Open on the new computer, it shows the files in various views depending upon where I am (tiles view, details view, large icons view -- everything except the only view that I want: list view). I know that I can change the view on a directory-by-directory basis, but I can't figure out how to just make TextPad display them all in list view, like it used to. Is there a way?
