Ability to "snooze" file change notifications

Post by aka_bigred »

I love the fact that TP will alert you when the current file has been changed by some external process, but I work with log files quite a bit and it's nearly impossible to view a log file while this feature is on.

Is it possible to add the ability "snooze" file change alerts right in the dialog? It would be a HUGE help! There are times I've opened a very active log file and I can't even close the alerts fast enough to open the Configure>Prefs>File setting to switch it off. It just gets stuck in a never-ending loop and I have to kill the TP process in task manager. I've also, at times, forgotten to turn change alerts back on later and accidentally overwritten a file.

It would be great if you could either have it snooze for X (user selected) minutes, or else snooze for that file until closed.
