unable to remove factory-default keyboard shortcuts

Post by breqq »

Is it just me or is the keyboard shortcut handling buggy?

I am unable to remove some of the factory-default keyboard shortcuts.

I do this: Configure > Preferences > Keyboard >
- I click at button Reset All
- I navigate to Edit > EditIndentMore
- I see in the Current Keys field that the factory-default hotkey Ctrl+Y is assigned to this command
- I click at hotkey Ctrl+Y in the Current Keys field
- I click at button Remove
- I click at buttons Apply and OK

The result: hotkey Ctrl+Y is still alive though having been deleted above.

I'm not sure why your default keyboard shortcut for EditIndentMore is Ctrl+Y because on my system it is Ctrl+Shift+. and Ctrl+Y is bound to EditRedo. However, I wasn't able to delete the shortcut for EditIndentMore either.

You have to give a new shortcut combination, after you removed the previous.

F.e. if you have Ctrl+y in the EditIndentMore, after you remove it, you have to assign something new to it, (anything, like Alt+y). Then it forget the Ctrl+y properly.
